1 – Is Casa Castellana Bed & Breakfast the place for me?
If you enjoy staying somewhere off the beaten path, away from the hustle and bustle of large hotel casinos, that offers simple luxuries in clean and comfortable accommodations then we believe Casa Castellan is the unique and authentic place you desire in the Condado Beach area of San Juan Puerto Rico.

2 – How do I make a reservation?
Click here. By following this link you will be able to scroll through our different Suites and Rooms and see availablitlity. Enter your dates, fill in your personal/billing information and proceed with the reservation. 3 – How far are you from the tourist areas and, most importantly, the beach?
We are a 2 blocks from Ashford Avenue and direct beach access, and where you will find countless restaurants, shopping, nightlife, rentals, tour information and much more.   

4 – What is your address and phone number?
Our address is 1218 Calle Luchetti, San Juan, Puerto Rico 00908. Our phone number is 813-220-1813.

5 – Will my suite or room have internet?
WiFi is located throughout the Casa Castellana property.

6 – Do you provide Beach Gear?
We provide a beach towels only.  Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach.

7 – How far are you from the Airport?
We are a 15 minute ride and a cab costs approx $20 depending on number of people and amount of luggage.

8 – Early Check-In?
Check-In is at 3:00pm. If possible we can accommodate early Check-In's and Late SELF-Check in's. Contact Natalia once you have made your reservation to arrange.  

9 – Is breakfast included?
Hot breakfast is served promptly every morning at 9:00 am. Coffee and pastries are served from 8:00 am to 10 a.m.
Guests leaving early may request a continental breakfast between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.  We must be notified 24 hours in advance.
 Breakfast is served on the first floor dining areas.  Room service is available for an extra charge.

10 – Are you a member of the Puerto Rico Tourism Association?
Yes, we are proud members of the PRTA and pay the required room tax.

11 – Do you have a phone in the bedrooms?
No, there are no phones in the bedrooms, most guests use their own cell phones and for those guests that travel without cell phones, our house phone is available for local calls only.

12 – What is the cancellation policy?
Because we are such a small operation, we have what might appear to be a strict cancellation policy. If notice is received within 30 days of arrival, we are unable to issue a refund and the balance will be credited for a future stay. If notice is received 30 days or more in advance of arrival, a full refund will be issued in 5 to 7 business days after cancellation notice minus a $50 cancellation fee. We, ourselves, are travelers too and know that emergencies can and do occur. For this reason, we highly recommend http://www.insuremytrip.com/ which offers travel insurance to guard against any emergency that may require a cancellation. We thank you in advance for understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

13 – Late Check-Out?
Check-Out is promptly at 11:00 am. If your flight is later in the day or into the night, you can leave your luggage in the lobby and continue to enjoy Puerto Rico and its marvels until your flight departure. If the room you are staying in is available and you would like to use it after 11:00am, there is a 50% charge of your room rate. This will need to be confirmed with the owner, ahead of time. 

14 – Do you have laundry facilities?
We have washer/dryer available at no charge. Detergent is included.

15 – Do I need a car to get around?
It is possible to make do without a car and use a combination of bicycle and public transportation. We have street parking available but it is not gauranteed. We would recommend renting a car on days you are planning excursions out of San Juan.

16 – What facilities are available to guests?  
Our downstairs common area and fourth floor roof top bar/deck are available to our guests. Quiet time begins at 10 pm and is strictly enforced.  

17 – Is Casa Castellana available for activities?

18 – How does Casa Castellana Protect its guests from mosquitos and tropical mosquito related diseases- especially the dreaded Zika Virus?!
Casa Castellana understands the importance of peace of mind when traveling to tropical locations where, inevitably, there is always possible exposure to mosquito born viruses. We honestly feel that when proper precautions are taken there is nothing to worry about. We supply mosquito spray and also take the proper precautions to reduce the amount of mosquitos present. However since we are in an urban tropical carribbean neighborhood some mosquitos are sometimes present.

19 – Are children allowed at Casa Castellana?
Well behaved teenage children over age of 12 are allowed at Casa Castellana. Small children under the age of 12 are allowed when the B&B is rented for a private party and at owners discretion.
We have stairs, therefore it will be the parents/guardians responsibility to make sure they are not hurt. It is also the parents responsibility to make sure nothing at the bnb is broken, since the rooms or the bnb is not baby proof. Children shoes or feet are not allowed on the furniture.

20 - Are the hosts always present at the BnB?  
Your hosts will be present during breakfast and the rest of the morning to happily assist you and our other guests.   During the afternoon if you cant find us we may be in the office or out and about.  Please dont hesistate to call or text us as we are always here to help!
